And all things come to…
When the SL Blogger Support first started, it was just a little group of people, wanting to get together and starting something new. Bloggers within the community wanted a place within Second Life to talk about blogging, fashion, designers, and everything in between. The group provided an outlet for all of us to converse and become one. It grew from ten people, to twenty, to fifty, and continued to make changes and gain new people as the years went on.
And with the ever changing face of Second Life – groups, people, events, and all – change. Things come to an end.
On December 1st, the SL Blogger Support will close its doors.
The years have been great – from bringing bloggers together, designers to bloggers, events to showcase their ideas. We’ve supported each other in times of need, gave advice, and even bickered about nothing at all. We’ve watched people leave, come back, and grow to be amazing.
I would like to personally thank everyone who has joined our little family. From those of us who joined up since Day One, until our last day.
Thank you to Caitlin, for stepping into my shoes when I no longer could hold the reigns.
To Asthenia, Ember, Kaelyn, Lucie, Kitty, Sasy, Lainey, Harlow, Luna, Willis, Autumn, and those that have come and gone through our time spent here helping out the SLBS – Thank you. You have no idea how much your help enabled the group to grow.
To those that have contributed via blog posts, opening your events for early access, sharing your ideas, your dreams, and allowing the SLBS to be part of your community – Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Throughout the month of November, Del from Seraphim and Bloggers & Vloggers Network, will be reaching out to everyone to transition those who wish to join the BVN. BVN – just like SLBS – is there to help, support, and channel the ever changing world of blogging in Second Life. The group requires no application and is open to everyone:

Thx Katya and Caitlin and all the others for doing it, for nurturing the group and sacrificing so much time for it. Eventhough I’m not a fashion blogger I’ve always felt you girls had something special there. Sad to see it come to an end.
Katya, the group and website have been an awesome resource for the entire time. Thank you and all of those that supported for providing timely information, tutorials, guidance, laughter, opportunity, help, and a community. I am fairly certain that this group helped many forge friendships and collaborations that would not have happened otherwise. It is sad to know that it will be ending but as you say, things change and so we all move forward. Best wishes to all!

Wow honestly I can’t imagine this group not being there. SL Blogger Support has been the most useful group I’ve known for community support. It will be greatly missed. I hope we can keep the group chat. One thing SL has taught me is to be ready for change. 🙂 Thanks to the great team at SL Blogger support for all their work in building a great community of support! You will be missed.

I shall miss The SL Bloggers Support Group greatly, It is a place of interest, help, tutorials, bloggers wanted for events and for Designers and mostly the friends in there who chat daily and keep us all up on the latest news. I know a lot of folks joined for the early access but TBH that was a nice thing to be able to go to occasionally but for me the highlights of the group was in the people, chatting away all hours, for the Bloggers of the World were in there and I hope they all move over to BVN as it will help with losing our group! Sadly SL Blogger Support will be closing on December 1st, 2017 and the BVN group will be taking us all in and while everyone no doubt will still be there it won’t be the same of course, it’ll be fab I am sure but different again! There really aren’t words to articulate how tremendously helpful SL Blogger Support was to me when I was a “young” blogger. I’m so grateful that I got to be part of it and I’ve been proud to be an SLBS Support Team Member for the past couple of years, too. I will miss this group, but I am looking forward to new adventures with the Blogger & Vlogger Network, and I encourage all bloggers & vloggers to sign up!
I personal dont think this should be the end of this group, there is no reason why you are giving up here, if you
are fead up writing content fine, stop, but there is no reason why the group should be closed – im sure there are many people including my self who would be hapy to continue the some of the work you do.
and its casue of the application to get in to this group that makes it better. the other group, its a freeforall and that comes with the price of peopel joining just for the hope of getting early or hassling designers for freebie etc,
Dont be foolish, keep this group active, let the commuinty run it. let us do what we do already.
If this group is going to close i hope someone else opens a group to replace. if so please hit me up. I will be more than happy to join & support it. then join the freefor all of BVN.
We will all miss this group. You are all awesome. xo
